| Welcome to the Website to elect Jerry Newton for
House in Senate District 49B which covers mostly the North and East part of Coon
Rapids. The purpose of this site is to keep citizens informed about our Campaign
and Events leading up to the election this coming November.
Please feel free to browse around and get to know Jerry Newton and what he
stands for. We encourage you to give him a call if you have any questions
or want to talk with him about the issues that affect you or your family.
If you haven't met him in person or had a chance to talk to him on the phone
feel free to call him anytime. If you're too nervous to call him directly
we can understand, however just try not to be to shy if you see him or one of
our campaign workers in your neighborhood this summer. We will be in the
red and blue and if you see Jerry feel free to say hi or invite him in and
get familiar with his common sense approaches.
After meeting Jerry, I hope you will agree with us that he gets the issues
and has logical solutions to our problems but you will have to draw your own
conclusions and compare the candidates for yourself. So like we've said,
feel free to browse around and get to know Jerry's experience and commitment to
the needs of our community.
If you ask anyone on his campaign staff, we would say Jerry Newton represents
a diversified statesman who already has experience in leadership and getting
positive results for our community.

Jerry's list of service started at a young age when he enlisted in the Army
and has continued ever since.

Right now, Jerry is a school board member for our district and is already
serving the children's educational needs.

Not only is Jerry a leader in education, Jerry has also owned a couple
successful grocery stores within our community and knows how businesses operate.
Nationally, Jerry lead the effort to put the ban on train whistles by restoring
the communities power over the corporations and getting rid of governmental
regulation that was behind in technology.

Jerry has also served on the city council and already has a working
relationship with the leaders of our local community. Just recently Jerry
was part of the Hwy 10 and Hanson bridge effort and expedited the construction
of the project to minimize the impact to our local commuters. In addition
to the Hanson Bridge project, Jerry helped pass the recent transportation bill
to help alleviate the congestion on HWY 10 which will allow our working class
commuters to spend more time with their families and less time in traffic.
With a leadership track record like that and a vision for our future, we are
excited to have a candidate as experienced as Jerry representing our communities
interests and we hope, after you get a chance to meet with Jerry yourself, you
will agree that we need to elect a leader to our state capitol that already has
experience, someone just like Jerry!
